What’s your role at WNA Labs?
Angel Pando: I’m the parts and service coordinator at WNA Labs, which means my main focus is making sure our customers receive the right parts and services to keep their labs running efficiently while supporting their evolving needs over time. Helping others has always been at the core of my career, and in this role, I get to do exactly that. When researchers are working in our labs, they need confidence that nothing will set them back, and proper maintenance plays a key role in making that possible.

Tell us a little bit about your background.

I have 25 years of experience working in healthcare, where I’ve had the opportunity to work in a range of roles supporting physicians across patient care, laboratory settings and operating rooms. Much of my career was spent as a medical assistant, assisting with minor surgeries, administering injections and managing triage. I also worked as a laboratory technician, drawing blood and collecting and analyzing various patient samples. These hands-on experiences gave me a deep appreciation for precision, efficiency and exceptional customer service—qualities I carry with me every day in my work at WNA Labs.

Why WNA Labs?

I wanted to join WNA Labs because this is a top-tier team delivering world-class solutions to its customers. Our lab products are built to the highest standards of safety, quality and functionality, providing reliable tools that empower scientists to push the boundaries of discovery.

In your opinion, what makes WNA Labs stand out?

WNA Labs distinguishes itself by the exceptional quality of its products. They’re built for performance and reliability but also designed with great attention to detail—making them, in my opinion, the most desirable lab furniture and fume hoods in the industry. In fact, one of the most rewarding parts of my work is hearing directly from customers how safe, reliable and thoughtful our products are.

What’s your involvement with WNA Labs' support program LEAP?

I am very excited to lead our Laboratory Enhancement Advisory Program (LEAP), which helps customers improve lab safety, efficiency and sustainability. Our mission is to assess the lab's setups, identify key challenges and recommend solutions to optimize workflow and reliability. By implementing LEAP, customers benefit from improved safety, smoother operations and a more user-friendly, cost-effective research environment.

When you’re not supporting labs, how do you like to spend your time?

When I’m not travelling to visit customers, you’ll usually find me at home working on the house—or attempting to fix something without much success. I recently started jogging, but my absolute favorite activity is playing with my grandbabies. One of the best things about working remotely is that it’s given me more time at home to enjoy moments like these.
